UV
Sun yellows and weakens the vinyl year after year. A clouded film that crackles to the touch is at end of life — the tear is only weeks away.

Gazebo specialty
A gazebo’s clear vinyl — MICA film — blocks the wind and holds warmth at both ends of the season. But UV yellows it, cold stiffens it, and one gust eventually tears it. Good news: it can be replaced without changing the panels or the structure, and it is our specialty.
Three questions are enough to start. The official measurement is taken on site.
One material, four names
Whatever your retailer calls it — MICA film, clear vinyl, clear plastic, sun-shelter transparent fabric — it is the same material, and we replace it across Greater Montréal, in your existing panels, pane by pane.
Gazebo · MICAWhat wears the vinyl
Sun yellows and weakens the vinyl year after year. A clouded film that crackles to the touch is at end of life — the tear is only weeks away.
Below freezing, MICA turns brittle. A panel handled or shaken by winter wind splits at once, top to bottom.
Slack vinyl flaps like a sail. Every gust pulls at seams and grommets until it tears.

The screen lets air through and stops insects; MICA vinyl is clear film that cuts the wind and holds warmth. Many gazebos use both depending on the season — we replace both.
On assessment: the price depends on the number of panels and their dimensions. The quote is free, and a photo of your panels is often enough to price without a visit.
Before the season you need it for: spring for summer, or late summer to stretch the fall. Vinyl fitted in mild weather tensions better and lasts longer.
