Mesh and materials: what we fit

Not all mesh is equal, and the right one depends on your window, your pets and your surroundings. We carry all four types in the vehicle — the choice happens at your home, not in a store.

The standard

Standard fibreglass

The reference mesh for windows and patio doors: flexible, affordable, nearly invisible once stretched. It is what we fit in the vast majority of replacements.

Rigid

Aluminum

Stiffer and more impact-resistant than fibreglass. Recommended between double-hung windows and in older frames, common in older plexes.

7× stronger

Pet-resistant mesh

Seven times stronger than standard mesh. The right call when a dog, cat or raccoon has already gone through the screen — instead of replacing it every summer.

Tight weave

No-see-um mesh

A tighter weave that stops no-see-ums and black flies, not just mosquitoes. Recommended near water and by wooded lots.

Gazebo screens and vinyl

The price depends on the panel count and the vinyl: set on site.

Per visit

Travel fee

A $125 travel fee applies to every visit, whatever the number of screens — it is shared across all your items, which is why grouping them pays.

$125

Grouping several screens in one visit brings the price of each one down: the travel fee is shared. An exact quote is free and reaches you promptly.

1-year warranty on fabrication and installation. Damage caused by the client is not covered. Payment: Visa, MasterCard, Interac, Bank transfer.

Any price provided is strictly a summary estimate. If work must be added once on site, prices will be adjusted — and always explained before we start.

Straight answers

Common questions

Do you really repair at home, or do I bring the screen somewhere?

At home. We travel across Greater Montréal with the workshop in the vehicle: the screen is removed, rescreened and reinstalled on site, usually in a single visit.

Which cities do you serve?

Greater Montréal : Island of Montreal, South Shore, Laval, North Shore, Montérégie, Laurentides, Lanaudière, Vaudreuil-Soulanges, Estrie. 125 cities and boroughs have their own page, and we set out from Brossard. Yours is not there? Call us — a request from outside the list is still a request.

Can a torn window or door screen be repaired?

Yes — that is the heart of what we do. Torn, punctured or sagging mesh cannot be stitched: we replace it in the existing frame, on site. The frame itself is almost always reusable — we only change it when it is bent or split.

Repair or replace my screen?

Repair, in the vast majority of cases. What gives out is the mesh; an aluminum or PVC frame lasts decades. Re-meshing the existing frame costs far less than a new frame — especially on pre-1985 windows, whose sizes are no longer sold in stores.

How much does mesh replacement cost?

From $30 per window screen, in an existing frame; the exact amount depends on size and mesh type, and the quote sets it. A $125 travel fee applies to every visit, whatever the number of screens — it is shared across all your items, which is why grouping them pays.

Do you do patio doors and gazebos?

Yes. The sliding patio door is our most common repair — mesh, rollers and track. For gazebos, we replace the screen panels and the clear MICA vinyl — the structure itself is not touched.

Is your work guaranteed?

Yes: one year on fabrication and installation. If the mesh slackens or a frame we fitted fails, we come back at no charge. Damage caused afterwards — a claw, an impact — is not covered.

Do you work in winter?

The season runs April through October. Fitting mesh properly requires mild temperatures for the right tension — one more reason to book early in spring.
